  Our journey began on December 4th, 2023, when we opened our doors with a simple yet heartfelt mission: to share the rich tapestry of Malaysian flavors with everyone, regardless of race or creed. Inspired by the inclusive spirit of Ipoh's kopitiams, where diverse communities dine together joyfully, we set out to create a space where all are welcome.

  Drawing from the culinary traditions of my husband's hometown, Ipoh, we embarked on a quest to master the art of Malaysian cuisine. From the bustling streets of Ipoh, we brought back the secrets of Ipoh Curry, Ipoh Hor Fun, and the smooth richness of Ipoh white coffee, infusing each dish with the essence of our heritage.

But Apah Ka Bar is more than just delicious food. It's a place of warmth and camaraderie, where strangers become friends and stories intertwine with every passing moment. As the aroma of Malaysian spices fills the air and laughter echoes off the walls, our cafe becomes a sanctuary, a home away from home for all who enter.

  Central to our identity is the mural adorning our walls, a vibrant tapestry that captures the essence of our journey. Painted by a talented artist from Ipoh, it depicts the most meaningful stage of my life: the faces of my husband, my parents, and our two beloved children. Each brushstroke is a testament to the love and dedication woven into every dish we serve, reminding us of the importance of family and connection.
